Welcome to the Metrodome Inline Marathon – The world’s only indoor skating marathon! .
The Metrodome Inline Marathon was originally introduced to the Metrodome as a welcoming and friendly environment for the first time marathon skater all they way up to the professionals. This event is utilized by some skaters to “get in shape” for the up coming marathon season, and by other individuals to challenge their bodies to go further then they have ever gone before. With a full marathon, half marathon and team competition, the Metrodome Inline Marathon is like no other marathon in the world.

Registration is now open for the 8th annual Metrodome Inline Marathon. We are excited to be back skating inside of the Metrodome, and we are VERY excited to be able to offer this unique event to the skating community again.
Fee Schedule:
Event Schedule and Rules
Group start times will vary. You will be placed into one of four (4) starting groups based on previous (or estimated) marathon performances. The schedule of events is as follows:
-Registration and Timing Chip Pick-up: Doors at Gate D will open at 8:00 am
-Group 1 (Full Marathon Professional Division and Open division with a marathon time of 1:35 and under): 9:00 am start (start times posted on-site)
-Group 2 (Open Division Marathon with a time of 1:36+ and all Half Marathon skaters): 10:30 am start
-Group 3 (Team Time Trial): 1:15 pm
It is recommended that you arrive at least :30 minutes before your schedule start time. To figure out your start time, please check in the Registration Confirmation (PDF) section below. We will be doing a LOTTERY for start position and this will NOT be designated as a Time Trial event as it is not feasible to eliminate drafting in the concourse.
